I am an electro-acoustic composer with a music production background. Blurring the lines between musical styles.
MFA Music Composition for the Screen - Columbia College Chicago, class of 2023.
I started writing music at age 14. By 17, I knew I wanted to make music for the rest of my life. In college, I majored in Music Composition with an emphasis on Electro-acoustic Music and minored in Film, Television, and Digital Media. During my sophomore year, I discovered musical storytelling and fell madly in love with it. I attended the Palomar Film Music Workshop in 2018 and the NYU Screen Scoring Workshop in 2019 to get hands-on experience with the process of writing music to picture. I also completed an internship with Bruce Faulconer in 2019– I did score prep, additional orchestrations, and recording setups for him.
While attending Columbia College, I worked closely with our professors Kubi Uner, Kaz Boyle, Joel Corelitz, and Dan Deehan. I also got to spend 6 weeks each with Miriam Cutler, Vivek Maddala, and Brandon Campbell. To wrap up my graduate studies, I completed a 4-week internship with Joseph Trapenese.
I excel at programming synths, building custom patches, creating clean, crisp MIDI mockups, and score prepping. I am proficient in Logic Pro, ProTools, Reaper, Finale, Dorico, Reason, FMOD, Kontakt, PureData, VCV Rack, and Unity. When I compose, I immerse myself in the magic of the process, embracing beauty without shying away from elements considered bombastic or odd. I constantly seek to develop fresh and unique music; I believe experimentation is essential.
In the future, I want to create bold music alongside people who share my passion. Through my work, I hope to uplift hearts and inspire creativity.
